Additional repairs are needed to water lines along Clubhouse Drive today. If your house is on the A1 well system, you will experience outages. Please remember that the water boil advisory remains in effect and will continue until Markey Water Services declares the water safe again for consumption.
On the A1 well water system, as of today, only the clubhouse and one home are without water. The homeowner has been notified. We hope both buildings are back in service tomorrow.
Reminder: if your home gets its water from well A1, you remain on a water boil advisory and this will run for a period of time after the last water line break is repaired. The advisory will remain in effect until our water company determines that the water is safe to consume without boiling.
While the repair work was going on, additional water lines and a shut-off valve were added to the A1 system to help solve such a problem faster the next time.
A special thanks goes out to the R. R. Wilmot team for working out in the severe cold, snow and freezing rain to solve this problem. Thanks to Joe and Alex for assisting and advising, out in the elements, while the Wilmot team was working.
The story continues from yesterday. The exact location of the water leak has not yet been found. Work on the water line will continue tomorrow. There could be periods during the day tomorrow where water service from well A1 could be disrupted.
By now, those of you who receive water from well A1 should have received the automated telephone message about the water boil advisory. So please heed that directive.
Tomorrow, our water line repair contractor will come to dig up and replace the broken water line(s). All A1 well users should take note that there could be water service outages while the contractor makes the repairs.
We do not yet have an ETA of the repair start or an estimate of the duration. The water boil advisory will remain in effect until the water services company determines our water is suitable to drink without boiling. Those of you on wells B1 and B5 are not be affected by this outage or boil advisory.
Thanks to Laura (Office Manager), and Joe B. and Alex R. (board members/volunteers) who braved the cold and zeroed in on the source of the water leak.
If you are in the “A” section of LWE, please be advised there is a large water leak in that system. Joe and Laura are out in the neighborhood attempting to locate the leak. Water pressure is low in some homes. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
